About Prof. Javad Salehi Fadardi

Prof. Javad Salehi Fadardi, Ph.D. in Psychology, is an internationally recognized researcher, clinician, and academic leader. He currently serves as a Full Professor at the School of Community and Global Health at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), California, and is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

With more than 25 years of clinical experience, he specializes in helping individuals overcome unhealthy habits, manage anxiety and depression, and build sustainable, healthy lifestyles. His work bridges clinical psychology, cognitive science, and public health, making him a unique expert in behavior change and psychological wellbeing.

Prof. Fadardi has served as a consultant psychologist for multiple national and international organizations and has led numerous global mental health projects and training programs.

He is best known for developing:

  • Attentional Control Training Program (ACTP) – the world’s first technology-based intervention designed to improve treatment outcomes and reduce relapse in people with strong unhealthy habits.
  • Life Enhancement and Advancement Program (LEAP) – a pioneering motivational restructuring and self-development framework used worldwide in mental health and behavioral change.

His research has resulted in 170+ peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, treatment manuals, and high-impact studies published in Psychological Bulletin, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Appetite, Psychopharmacology, and others.
